Screen or Logic Board fault?

I have an iPhone 5c that was water damaged. The phone boots to home screen, however the screen does not respond to touch. There is a bit of corrosion on the screen connector. After I clean the corrosion, if the problem persists, is there a way to know if it is just the screen or a board level problem?

Thanks!

Clean the connector. If that doesn’t work, try a different display. If that doesn’t work, then try the original display with a different phone. If that doesn’t work, try factory reset (if you’re willing to)

If all fail, then it’s board-level.

Good luck!
