I don’t know the vehicle but here’s the 1997,1998,1999,2000,2001,2002 Honda CR-V Shop Manual + Wiring Diagram which may help.

After you’ve passed the hCaptcha security check, click on Fullscreen to get a better view of the section of the manual and when it opens then scroll down to p.20-81 to see how to adjust the rear hatch glass striker plate to see if this fixes the problem. There is a download icon on the far right end of the document header bar if youy want to download it to your computer. If not perhaps the latch may have to be replaced
