Screen is Glitching & Thin Black Bar

Yesterday a very thin black bar appeared to the right of my Mac screen and I didn’t think much of it. Now the top 1” of my screen is glitching out and I’m worried about my display. I haven’t had any damage to the screen itself. I tried reseting the PRAM but didn’t work or maybe I didn’t do it right. Any help is appreciated!

Connect it to an external display like a tv and see what happens. Sounds like you have a defective screen on your hands. Can you post pictures as well?

It’s a little hard to see but I’ve got the flickering to stop by turning off the autographic switching in my system preferences. I still have a top bar that’s lighter and shows persistent images. I don’t have an external monitor to the cords to connect it. I’m taking it to a local repair shop later today to see what they say.
