Fire & water Damage & some buttons don't work

Two years ago, we had a fire in the house. The firemen came in with their water hoses to put the fire out and in the process got the macbook wet. About a week ago, we found the old macbook from two years ago and decide to try and charge it, to see if it will work. Lo and behold the macbook started up and we where able to retrieve all of the data on the HD. However the numbers one-five do not work and the control key also does not work, any suggestions?

We have a general troubleshooting page to deal with liquid damage. It's tough to say what exactly is causing the issues with your keys but it could be either a problem in the keyboard connectors or corrosion/water scale in the keyboard itself.
