Why is my screen not showing and the keyboard keeps going on and off?
My power adapter is overheating and when I turn on the laptop it keeps going on and off,the display screen is not showing

Turn laptop off.
Unplug adapter.
Remove battery.

Does it work? Yes? Then battery needs replacement.

Does the laptop turn on OK when just using the battery and not having the power adapter connected and switched on?
Have you checked that the DC voltage output from the adapter using a Voltmeter to ensure that it is 18.5V?

I have to use the adapter to turn it on and the voltmeter is 19.5v ...the screen isn't showing but the other part is working
