Why does my left joy con detach after clicking?

When I am using my Nintendo switch, sometimes the left joy con will just slip off of the Switch. I don’t hold the minus and I know the controller was on cause it clicked. Do I need to replace a part on the joy con or is there something else I can do to fix it?

are you pressing the lil button on the back of the joycon? if not look at the lil bracket that is right by the button. look to see if its broken
