right speaker is broken should I attempt to repair or switch to wired

the point where the right speaker connects to the main headset is broken so no audio comes from it anymore, should I try to replace this headset with a more inexpensive and competent headset (cause cash is tight for me) or should I make an attempt to repair it, like I said only the right speaker is broken and before this happened I would usually play with only the left speaker directly on my ear so it’s mostly a nuisance.

Right speaker quit working on my 2 weeks after the 1 year warranty expired and steel series wouldn't do jack about it. I took apart the headet and could not find anything wrong (no lose/damged wires, no burns on the boards, etc etc).

It’s actually pretty easy to open up the ear phones and see if there is a loose wire. It is a size 5 torx security bit found in the ifixit basic toolkit. Take off the ear muffs and there are 3 screws. Gently move away the speaker and be careful of the short wire. The wire is clipped to the speaker plastic so you can unclip this to inspect closer. Anything missing or loose can be re-soldered. If you need images just ask as I can upload some. Good luck!

Thank you for your answer. I just sorted out the problem! I opened them and replaced the damaged speaker by welding it now everything works even if I try videos in which I should only feel the left and right box and feel the sounds in both headphones!

hey if you don't mind can you show me how to see what the problem is with my SteelSeries artic pro wireless at a later date

I have some kind of loose plastic inside right speaker and it keeps popping when I move my head.

I was able to open right side. I found out that theres 2 regular screws inside holding speaker element. I have no idea what do to after removing those bits without breaking the plastic?

Could you post pics or video how to access speaker element?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

I have the exact smae problem as Olli. I think Ive determined its the plastic membrane that is making the popping noise, I think Ill try to open it this weekend with a heat gun and see if I can figure out the problem.

Could be. Heavy shake gives a temporary fix. This will be my last Steelseries product.

Having the right ear speaker dead syndrom on my 1 year and half Arctis Pro Wireless which I received after doin a rma of Siberia 840.

Thank you to Chris H for his usefull comments.

I ordered 2 speakers from Aliexpress. I’ll post one or more picture after soldering the new speaker.

Had quite a hard time opening it but here is the result :

Had the same problem, soldered the left speaker to the right side to make sure it was the speaker. Ordered a replacement speaker from Ali express and a spare just incase. Was a nightmare getting into the right speaker casing but now already for the new speaker. Arrived in the UK today so shouldn't be long now

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

I suceeded to swap the speaker to a new one bought on aliexpress and it’s working. For reference : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/100500226...

The plastic around the speaker was slightly thinner and I had to add some very small piece of buble paper wrap to make it stay in placer. I don’t see the difference between left an right ear, so I’m quite happy.

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

How did you manage to get the speaker out of the glued plastic casing? I need some tips because I am seriously struggling.

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

Brute force, tried heating it up didn't notice any difference. I ran a scalpel all around the edges to try and cut away most of the glue, then used wire cutters to make a hole big enough the fix a flat head screwdriver in to it, then just prized it open

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

No problem Morgan, glad comments were useful and you got it working again!
