The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

Blinking folder with question mark, drive in unknown condition.

My macbook pro early 2015 has been freezing randomly lately and then finally today seems to have broken completely. It won’t boot up and is flashing the folder with a question mark. I was able to boot to recovery mode and successfully run First Aid on the drive (which is still visible) but I can’t seem to get it to boot up even though I can see the drive listed. Any suggestions? I figured the drive went but First Aid didn’t seem to notice anything wrong. Thank you all in advance!

Do you have important data on the drive? If not, try to reinstall macOS from first aid using an iso image.

Not crazy important data but was trying to avoid a full wipe of it. Is it possible to backup from first aid or do you have to do a full reinstall of macOS to even access it? Any thoughts on it being a hard drive failure? Thanks for your response!
