Motherboard issue or Nah

Was working on my iPhone X doing a screen replacement, I tried the new screen the phone would not turn on, I check the connectors everything looked goood , tried it again still nothing. Went back to the original screen still nothing. The motherboard gets hot when I press the power button to turn the phone on but the screen is black. When the connectors are unplugged the motherboard cools down. Does anyone know what might have happened or what I can do ?

Will iTunes recognise the phone?

The motherboard gets hot when I press the power button to turn the phone on but the screen is black.

This is motherboard damage, specifically the power IC. Repair requires microsoldering skills. I recommend iPadRehab’s mail-in service.
