Why isn't my Moto Z3 Play turning on?

Last night i was happily using my phone, the battery was far from dead, but it just switched off.

attempting to turn it back on has just resulted in a short vibration and that is all.

I have attempted the manufacturer’s suggested troubleshooting methods, but to no avail.

Hi, @lewisluther666 did you manage to find a fix for the issue?

Hi. I had to send it back.

I wasn't happy with the repair that Motorola did. I sent it back twice because the screen, post-repair, had some "spring" when I tapped it on the sides, which caused glitchy steaks to appear if I put even the smallest amount of pressure on it.
