The two wires (red& black) which run over the underside of the board

Two wires which run inside the unit are not connected any more, i took the back off and they have obviously broken off but from where? They are the red and black ones which are the only wires not in some sort of loom?

Hi @dicky007 ,

Post some images of the board and the wires etc

Here’s how to do this. Adding images to an existing question

In most electronic devices the red and black coloured wires are used for the power supply. The convention is that the red goes to the +ve side of the supply and the black to the -ve side of the supply.

If the device has batteries check the wires that run from the +ve and -ve terminals in the battery holder. If they are OK look at the board and see if there are any markings indicating +ve and -ve where there might have been wires connected.
