My Samsung UBD-KM85C UHD Blu-Ray Player won’t turn on.
It’s my bedroom player and doesn’t get much use… but it will not turn on.
A local electronics shop, UBreakiFix, told me it was the power supply but they couldn’t get parts for it.
Is there anyway I could fix this and get the parts to fix it? Thanks

Mike Monti let’s for a moment assume that they are right and it is the power supply. There should be no reason why the components on that power supply cannot be changed. Post some really good images of the power supply so we can see what you see. I would be checking the fuse first then the rectifier and checking to see if it even gets power.

I finally got some pictures and uploaded them. I tried to get everything from different angles. I hope they are good enough. Maybe you could take a look and let me know what you think? I think I found the powerboard on a few sites that I might be able to order it from if that's what I really need.

I really do appreciate you responding. I am at work now and I will take pictures tonight and post them.
I checked the fuse with a meter and the power wire and I got continuity so I think those parts are fine.
They told me they couldn’t get the parts to fix it because Samsung has stopped producing any type of player because everyone wants to stream everything so the parts aren’t available. I thought this was odd since it’s not that old and many people still have tons of blu-rays. I was also thinking that there might be aftermarket parts that would work that aren’t even produced by Samsung. Am I wrong in thinking this?
