Light blue and white striped vertical lines instead of just white

Hi all

My display has thin light blue and white striped vertical lines instead of just plain white.

It is not replicated on an external monitor though.

Sounds like a display or possibly a signal delivery error (cable) rather than the on board graphics processor.

After reading some of the replies to similar questions, I pressed each side of the iSight camera to no effect.

Is that a correct deduction?

Yes, your internal display has a problem. While not visible there is a logic board within the lid which converts the LVDS signal from the main logic board to the needed raster signals the LCD its self needs.

Here’s the needed part:

A1226 Santa Rosa: Matte 661-4342 & Glossy 661-4343

A1260: 661-4609 Matte & Glossy (both used the same P/N)

And here’s the guide to put it in MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Models A1226 and A1260 Display Assembly Replacement
