iPod freezes when dropped and wont work till dies and turned back on

Whenever i drop my ipod from any distance it will fade into a grey or lined screen and will not respond to any type of reset until i let it die and plug it back in. any way to fix this without letting it die?

i am guessing it is either the screen; motherboard or something popped out of the holding in the iPod.

I can not say that this might be for sure though… i had never owned this device. However, i am just basing this off of my idea and possibly opinion as well.

probably the voltage has been defective or is improperly working.
