Can I use it as a display?

The computers logic board is finished, how can I rig it to work only as a display?

In short you can't, no easily. You'd need to disassemble and figure out a way to connect the cable that normally goes to the logic board to some sort of adapter. My french is horrible but apparently this thread http://forum.macbidouille.com/index.php?... is all about figuring that out. good luck.

No, It can be used only as output for the motherboard. You may want to think about getting another Motherboard.

You might be better off selling the unit for parts, and taking the money to buy a new 20" monitor :(

You'll probably end up with some leftover cash in the process!

I agree with David, its much simpler and you'd be better off selling it for parts (if iFixit for example!) and then putting that money into a real, newer display.
