Phone Works, but Power Button Doesn't Respond

I have an iPhone 8. I just replaced the battery and lightning charger port assembly. After completing the replacements everything is working well; including each of the buttons. The one exception is that the Power Button on the right side of the phone is no longer responsive. I cannot turn my phone on or off with that button. Again, my phone wakes up and is useable with other buttons, and the screen goes dark once enough time has past. But the power button is not responsive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve gone as far as taking the phone apart a second time in-case I missed a connection or something.

Thank you in advance!

Double check to make sure a screwdriver didn’t slip and nick the power button cable near the top of the phone. If there is any damage to that cable try replacing it.
