Hi Toni,

if it looks like it’s charging, it would be battery issue - your battery is out of date and needs a replacement.

But for sure, first, check if your cable is OK and also if the power adapter is working properly, try different type of cable and adapter, then check, if the connector in the tablet is fine and is not damaged, clean it from the dust and try to charge. If it’s still not working, try to recover your tablet to the factory settings. If it’s still same, it’s time to replace your battery.

There could be several reasons why your Acer tablet isn't charging:

  • Damaged charging port
  • Faulty charging cable
  • Dead battery
  • Defective charging adapter
  • Software issue

Try using a different charging cable and adapter to see if that resolves the issue. If not, try resetting the tablet or taking it to a repair shop for further assistance.

@sami78, your link doesn't work. Please use good judgement when posting links to a company you're associated with, as iFixit seems to have a very strict policy on spam.

Your post, while relevant and informative, could easily be viewed more as an attempt to promote your website rather than a sincere effort to help, especially when you're posting on a four year old thread with a link that doesn't work.

First, power down your device, unplug the USB cable and wait 10 seconds. Next, plug the USB cable back in and power the device back on. If cable still does not work, ensure you are using the most recent USB driver.

Regards,

Will
