this is a double decker. I pugged it in, it played, then popped and smoked and quit! Now I need to get it open! I can not get it open! I have no idea how to separate the carousel to inspect the wiring and fix it. Any ideas? Thanks so much

Check the bottom casing for hidden screws. If there are any padded feet on the bottom, try to remove them and look for screws underneath. Find the gap along the edge where the bottom cover meets the top casing. Try to insert any type of prying tool in that gap to get the casing opened up.
