Water damage, still works but the phone restarts every 3 mins

I dropped my phone in water and it completely turned off after a few minutes and wouldn’t turn on. The next few days I tried charging it and the battery came on but after some time it would say I need to plug in a charger and it turned off and I could not charge it again. So after that I tried wireless charging and got the phone on and was able to use both wired and wireless charging. But Once it was on the screen wouldn’t respond to any touches ,then, after a few days the screen was working but I had to keep the brightness low or it would not respond to touches and it would freeze and just completely berserk on high brightness. I tried turning it off and putting it in rice in a attempt to dry it out thinking it may still have water in it. Once I turned it off it seem like I had to wait for the battery to completely die so I can charge it again for it to turn on again since I had it completely charged it took a couple days to die and once I plugged it up it the dead battery symbol popped up and charged enough to turn on and this time the phone worked screen was responsive, cameras worked, and everything seemed fine except for a few things like my Face ID doesn’t work and there’s a purple line through the screen the bottom speaker doesn’t work along with the Taptic Engine. Considering the state of the phone from when I first dropped it in water those are little problems that I can easily ignore since my top speaker works I can still make calls. Now the only real big problem I have is the phone restarts itself every 3 mins (I timed it) other than that I would say the phone works if only I can stop it from restarting.

This is a nice basic guide for anyone having a phone that suffered liquid damage, at least it gives some insight on what it _should_ be done to have some chances to save it from premature death. Have a read and compare with what has been done indeed on your phone and you’ll be able to figure out where this is going to end sooner than later. Damage can’t be undone without a repair and the 3 minutes bootloop will probably soon turn into no boot at all. Since you have a yet very valuable phone, at this point I’d recommend finding a very reputable Pro in microsoldering to have it looked after..the sooner the better.

Thank you so much now the only thing wrong is the purple line but whatever it’s the least of my worries my phone stays on now and I ended up fixing my Taptic Engine and bottom speaker most I did was take a tooth brush dipped it in alcohol 91% and brushed all the ports and it’s working like brand new
