OnePlus 3 battery replacement dies at 20%

After doing a battery replacement I noticed that the phone shutsdown when the battery still had charge (according to the battery icon that is). I drained and fully charged a few times and even left it on the charger overnight but still have the issue.

Anyone else having this issue?

It is better to do a factory reset after battery replacement. The ‘software’ perhaps is still using ‘calibration’ from old battery. Just copy all your files and reset!

That didn't help. Now it's shutting down at 40%. Beginning to wonder if I just got a bad battery
