I'm replacing my SMJ250F screen, but the replacement seems too thick

I have ordered a screen off ebay and successfully removed my original broken screen. On attempting to fit the new screen it sits out 2mm from the body. The rear LCD does seem quite a bit bigger than the original, but all the replacement screens I see on ebay look the same size. Does anyone have experience replacing this or similar models?
