Greetings, im in europe and where im from, its almost impossible to get your hands on Hakko, alas JBC is a bit out of my price range.

Those tweezers in my opinion are useless, like @arbaman said I think look around a bit and look for something else u could probably even import a hakko for less than that. I'm not saying hakko is better because I dont have one but their hot tweezers seem to be better

I'm pretty sure I've even seen jbc nase stations for the 1k mark if u want to spend that much on a soldering station u might as well get the nase with nano tweezers.

I'm not sure how much this would be in ur country https://kaisertech.co.uk/jbc-nase-2c-nan...

Thank you for your responses. Ive looked quite a bit for micro soldering equipment, but didnt find anything good on the cheap end, except quick DW as hot air station(its kinda big thou), but does any of you know any good, cheap microsoldering irons/tweezers?

I would personally get the tweezers only if u actually need them... to be really honest the only reason I use mine is when really I need a bigger fatter tip and I'm too lazy to change the tip and I just use the tweezers and push them together for a larger area to give better heat lol... I would get a half decent iron with easy to find good tips and start with that and the hot air station first then maybe preheaters and tweezers etc

When u said u couldn't find anything good on the cheap end what do u need from the soldering iron, my requirements are gets hot, does the job feels comfortable in my hand, loads of tips are available and easy to get. If ur just starting look at the t12 chinese stations their about £50 and the tips are easily available and it works lol

U could also test ur skills by making ur own universal station, look at the unisolder 5.2 :)

Weller wouldn’t make anyone using Hakkos feel like missing anything, it’s among the top 5/6 historical brands in the world. I’m sure you’ve made all your evaluations already, but in my opinion that station is even too much for repairing small smartphones boards, you’d be able to get more than enough of what you will need with a much cheaper soldering station, for even less than half. Just have a further look around if you please and maybe explore other top brands products too, like Pace, Metcal-Oki, Ersa, just to name some. Also consider especially on iPhones with a very high component density you’d be using more hot air than an iron..just my 2 cents..

The best station is the JBC Nano but it is very expensive and tips burn out pretty regularly leading to high operation costs. I considered it for a while but I will be sticking with my Hakko station.
