iPhone 6 Plus not powering on after being off for a long time

So one day I left my phone in a drawer and forgot to power it off fully. It’s been months before I found it again and when I plugged it in, nothing came up on the screen. I left it overnight and still no response. I know the charger is good because it works on my other phones and the phone had worked previously before I left it in the drawer. I’ve tried hard restarting to attempting DFU mode and nothing. This phone has had battery drain issues even after a factory reset so I’m not that surprised that the battery was bad but I was expecting it to boot up. Anything else for me to try?

If the battery was fully drained and totally dead the logic board will not send any power to the battery

So is there anything that I can try or not?

Replace the battery.

Boost the battery with a power supply or one of those plug in battery charger boards if it keeps depleting below a certain tolerance and wont charge again then replace battery or if battery life isn't good... if the new battery doesn't fix it then replace tristar, thats the order I normally do it in cos sometimes the battery is perfectly fine it just gone too flat that one time and just needs a boost. Sometimes even just holding the power button and plugging the cable in and keeping the button held has worked for me but I might have just imagined this and the battery might not have been that dead lol

I replaced the battery and it seemed to fix it. Thanks!

Glad you were able to fix it! Sorry I myself hadn't replied, I don't tend to the forums very often!
