Damaged corner fixed - but now there's a gap. How to seal it?

I have an iPad Mini 1st Gen that had the corner reshaped manually (looks like pliers were used) in order to get the new digitizer installed. I’m doing a digitizer replacement on this device and want to know how I can seal the small gap that the repaired corner has created? I’ve seen other sites mention a “silicone sealant” but can’t find any references to an actual product.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Caulking material may work just fine, most putty sealants are much more expensive.
