Why is my heatilator Rave 4013 gas fireplace go out after lighting?

I have a Heatilator Rave 4013 that keeps going out. This unit has an electronic ignition igniter, so it doesn’t have a pilot that is always lit. When I flip the switch it turns on and stays on for a few minutes. The flame will suddenly start to flicker and go out, as it is doing this you can hear the igniter engaging. What could be causing this?

Thanks for your help.

Aaron

Gas Fireplaces are really outside our skills set.

I recommend you talk with your local dealer or check out Heatilators’ web site directly here: Heatilator- Troubleshooting & FAQs

The safety device has activated. The oxygen depletion thermocouple could need replacing.

Also is there a supply of gas to the fire ?

Or maybe the gas valve itself is blocked.
