MacBook Air A1466 only charging & power issue

MBA only charges sometimes and when it does it’s only for short periods of time. However when it doesn’t charge it won’t even turn on. When it doesn’t charge there is no light on the charger however it is a working charger. I have tried cleaning the charging port, even swapped charging ports, to no avail. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Also: The same macbook is not reading my SSD. Any fixes possibly?
