My digitizer is cracked but the lcd is working fine. What should I do?

I had recently taken off my broken screen by myself and I noticed that I left some cracks in my digitizer. I turned on the phone and the LCD was still working normally. I don’t know if I should replace the whole digitizer (which would cost me a lot) or keep it as is, put a new screen on and leave it be. Please help!
