Why doesn't my ac work anymore
The ac comes on, the indicator lights come on, the fans can be heard but the air doesn’t get cool. It keeps blowing warm air

The most common causes of broken air conditioning are leaks or compressor issues. If your air is blowing cool but not cold, the problem could be a clogged filter, cooling fan problem or radiator trouble.
Cool But Not Cold
If the air conditioning is set to max cool and fans on high, but is only blowing moderately cool air:
Check the pressures in the system using a manifold gauge set. The recommended high-side and low-side pressures can be found in the repair manual.
When diagnosing an air conditioning issue, it's easiest to begin at the compressor.
If there is no voltage - a cycling switch may be bad, a fuse may be blown and the system may not have enough refrigerant pressure to trip the low pressure cutoff switch that cycles the compressor.
Leaks are the most common problem associated with the air conditioning system.
If pressure is low, then there may be a leak.
Note: The dye check will not work if the system is too low and the compressor is not cycling.

the above answers are not suitable for camry 2009, as no clutch in it
there is few switches and sensors can prevent compressor from engaging

The 2009 Camry air conditioning compressor doesn't have a clutch?
SOLUTION: My friends 2006 Avalon started blowing only cool air instead of cold. After testing all the fuses and determining them good, I opened the hood, and had my friend start the car with the a/c off, then turn the a/c on so I could make sure the clutch on the compressor was engaging. It was, but what I also noticed was that only one of the two radiator fans was spinning when they should both engage at the same time. I gave the unspinning fan blade a little spin start with my flashlight and it started right up (I believe it was in the clockwise direction if you were sitting in the car, but you could always start the car and turn off and verify which way the other fan is going as it slows to a stop). Please use something other than your finger to get it spinning since you may need that in the future for something else. Until we get the fan(s) replaced, she may have to pop the hood and hand start that fan if the A/C isn’t blowing cold. Hopefully this helps someone else!!

Mine is doing the same thing and I can’t figure it out! I have had it recharged and checked for leaks several times.

there is a control valve that fails on the compressor, and it's serviceable. This will cause intermittent cooling.
