White Screen NOT White Screen of Death, Glitchy and no Apple logo

My old iPod has been in a drawer for a while now… Just booted it back up (along with a few other old devices in there that all worked perfectly fine). The screen is white but not pure white, there are glitchy horizontal lines when something is trying to be displayed and sometimes I can almost tell what it’s trying to display, such as the time or something.

Hopefully you can kind of see the faint horizontal lines - none are there permanently, it’s not damage or anything, they just glitch around. The slightly darker lines near the top center of the screen is actually the time on the lock screen glitching around, so it’s not just the pure white “white screen of death”.

I’ve tried holding down buttons (power+home, or power+volume up+home) and letting the power drain before charging it all the way back up, but maybe this is something physically wrong with the display because it tries to display what it’s supposed to but it can’t.

It does connect to iTunes and everything, so the device still (more or less) functions correctly.

Thanks
