Why won't the volume increase?

The sounds on my iphone aren't loud anymore. I can hardly hear when it rings, and if I'm on the phone with someone, the "speaker" button isn't working.

If when you press volume up/down you see the bar on screen resonding and you can hear well through earpiece then the problem is most likely in the dock connector... Either a build up of dirt and dust over the years or the part has been injured through a drop etc. Click on any of the links on the right under photo of the phone to repair/replace the dock connector.
