Nintendo Switch doesn't turn on

Hello!

I got dead console, no recipe for gurantee so I'm alone.

Console doesn't respond on anything. Console is getting very warm when it's plugged to original PSU. I think battery is charging because when i plug off PSU, for some time switch stays warm. What should I do? I'am thinking about new battery but this will not be that easy right? Maybe someone know what chip is need to be replaced ? I think the blue one but what do you think guys? https://2.allegroimg.com/original/03fb0c...

By the way, when i plug it into dock. Green light shows for 1 second when console get contact with usb.

Hello, Nintendo switch user. Two days ago, I used the switch through the TV as the switch is left on the dock. Today, I tried to play it, and it won't turn on. The controllers won't even turn on so in turn, that means the switch isn't on. When I take it off the dock then put it back on, the dock does pick it up but the switch still stays blank. I tried another charger (Nintendo) and still nothing. I tried a hard reset and still nothing.

I need answers!

Try the following:

disconnect the battery from the motherboard and press the power button for 10 seconds to fully discharge the board.

Reconnect the battery again and try to power the system on.

See if it boots or if the screen responds at all.

Hey,

Try to check the amp when you charge the switch, if it is 0.40 this is normal slow charging. If it is around 1.75 it is fast charging. So if you connect the switch and after a minute it didn't switch from 0.4 to 1.75 there is a problem.

Check any liquid damage, search for corrosion and check the tiny sticker, if it is pink there are liquid damage.

Check if any capacitors is shorted, check the fuse and the chip on the right of the USB charge port when it face you.

In the case on of the capacitor is shorted you will need to replace the ship.

Hello Łukasz Zakrzewski,

Have you tried switching the battery with another one. Or have you check the readings of the battery with a volt tester?

Recommend disconnecting the battery. Then hold down the power button on the switch for 30 seconds. After plug-in the battery and check if the switch charges.

If this doesn't work, you could have a bad battery.

Hope this works for you.

P.S. let me know if it works for

Hey.

So, It ended up being a dead battery.

Now, I am on battery replacement number 2; the first change, the battery drained instead of charging.

I just order another one yesterday, which came today and im having the same issue as far as the battery is draining instead of charging. Whether its on the dock or just using the stand alone charger.

Im close to giving up as the "shut down for 30 minutes scenario" isn't working either.

I had the same issue on a friend’s switch (backlight on but no display when powered on) but at the end, the issue was that it was stuck on RCM mode. Injecting a software from my PC solved the issue.

@admkf4bnufq2k7d sorry for the long delay.

It was a modded Switch, I used sideloading to load an app from my computer

Hi Nahuel

I had the same problem with my Nintendo Switch. Try this remove the ribbon cable from the game card slot that is connected on the left hand side. Next grab some rubbing alcohol and clean the ribbon cable and the pins with the alcohol. (Careful not to use too much of the alcohol as you might get the LCD screen or other components burnt). Last reconnect the ribbon cable back into the slot and turn on the system. This is what I did to my switch not 100% sure if it will work with all Switch's.
