Hi,
If the tablet is still on, then here is the ifixit LG G Pad 8.3 Battery Replacement guide.
Use the guide to disconnect the battery from the systemboard in the tablet. Once it has turned off, reconnect the battery and start again.
Alternatively wait until the battery has discharged enough for the tablet to shut down then fully recharge the battery before attempting to turn the tablet on again.

Hi,
Have you tried holding the power button until it force shuts down?

Good morning! And to answer your question, I have held the Power button down for several minutes to no avail.

Thank you for the info. I already done that. I believe that the power button is not working. When I got it apart it looked like it had been poked by something very pointed. I believe it either severed or disconected some wires in the ribbon. I would try to jump start it off the board, but can't find the "ground" and don't want to fry it. I can get a new starter/volume button for about 6 bucks.
