The LN46A530 has a 46" display, combined with SRS TruSurround XT. The PC input allows this display to double as a 46" computer monitor

What to do about vertical lines ... already changed out t-con board

Hey I have replaced t-con board and ribbon, and still have coloured, vertical lines appearing on screen. What should I check next?

Also, any tests for that particular t-con board to verify it is not defective - tv model number is LN46A530P1FXZC.

Any help is much appreciated!

Check your ribbon cables going to the screen

check the ribbons that go from the tcon to the lcd panel itself, to do that you will probably need to take the bezel off and rub you finger along the ribbons

Dan does this mean taking the screen out partially

you shouldnt need to just the plastic bezel around the actual screen

B P that will depend on what those lines look like. Post an image of what your screen displays with your question. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. Besides the T-con board you can get lines from a bad main board as well as TAB failure. Tab failure is where the bonding of the ribbon cables from the driver board to the inside of the panel have failed.

Update (12/05/2017)

Looking at the image this does not appear a T-con board issue. Main board, possibly the panel driver or even the power board. Start by replacing the main board

If the LCD is bad (could have caused T-Con to go out) there is not much you can do except replaced the LCD. A bad T-Con board usually shows as a blank screen with sound and some back lights. … A lcd with lines is usally the LCD screen it self. By looking and ready your post… I’d consider replacing the LCD.
