Internal battery won't charge and power won't come on with extra batteryattached

Have I killed the internal battery or damage a cicuit board? Sweat may have dripped onto it removing SD card. Didn't work next outing wouldn't take a charge or show any signs of charging or power with a charged extra battery plugged in.
