won't start up after taking apart and re-assembling

Only stripped down to repair broken hinge. Didn't replace any parts Just put everything back where it came from. Power light comes on dvd drive spins but nothing else happens. Screen is blank. Any ideas?

The best course is to check the cables and connectors. It is possible that a cable is being pinched by the new hinge. Did you follow ESD safe procedures to prevent static shock from damaging the electronics? Some components can be replaced with minimal ESD exposure but many components are easily damaged by ESD but may not show except for intermittent problems.
