This Nintendo DS Lite was released in 2006 as the successor to the Nintendo DS. Getting inside this device is simple, making for easy fixes.

Why is my nintendo ds lite not charging and doesn't turn on?

My nintendo ds charger works but it won't stay in the ds charger port.

Hi, Erik!

Like many small devices that fit in our pockets, purses, backpacks and other places, sometimes lint, hair, dust and debris finds a way into your device, always taking the path of least resistance.

One tip I have is to shine a light inside the charging port on your DS to see if there's any junk clogging it up.

If you notice any lint or debris, try using a toothpick or some small, non-metallic object to pick that stuff out. You can also try spraying compressed air into the charging port to help break any debris up, as it might be packed in there pretty good from all the times you've inserted the charging cable.

I hope this helps!

I looked in the charging port and I saw gold wires. Is that bad?

No, I don't think so.
