The clutch does not drive the car forward and is not over reving & no clutch plate smell is coming from the gear box and I was wondering is it the slave cylinder buggered, or is the clutch that is needing replacing.

@timothymoad ,Timothy, Look to see if the pin from the clutch fork to the slave cylinder is sitting somewhat loose/has a little movement(not extended) when clutch peddle is not pushed, if some what free/movement then the slave is not stuck on and would suggest the problem lays further in the system. Probable clutch disc/pressure plate either worn or hanging up on bearing/fork. If things feel some what normal and the vehicle does not want to move, may be a broken CV joint on the axle. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
