How can you ck if it has vacuum? I put a new carb on it and the fuel bulb is full but no fuel in cylinder. Has 110 compression.

@rcurren01, rcurren , Echo SRM-225 Trimmer, You can try with fuel cap off in case the caps vent is plugged not allowing fuel flow and or replace the filer in the tank if you have not already done so. Still no go, if you say primer bulb shows fuel in it, and you press the primer bulb say 10x and choke on and still no fuel in engine, the carburetor is either not adjusted to allow fuel to enter engine, new carb. faulty, fuel lines not hooked up properly/pinched. Links below may help trouble shoot your issue including manual. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Can you tell me what was your issue? I bought 3 carbs, new lines, air filter, bulb, etc and it will not start still. Compression is also 110 after like 4-5 pulls. Exhaust everything looks clean and nothing remotely blocked up. The bulb fills with fuel, I see fuel movement in the line with each press. But with the plug off, I see no fuel being sent to the chamber. One time I did (like 2-3 tiny droplets only once) of over 100 pulls, and it was not something a spark plug would be able to ignite unless it splattered onto it directly. It gets spark, esp with a new plug. I am at my wits end with this! :( It’s like 6 years old, and maybe used 50 times at most. I changed out the fuel, with fresh fuel even tried straight gas with no mix, and it did nothing. What could be blocking the fuel from being pulled to where it’s supposed to sprayed? I did all the steps mentioned to do, it even has a new fuel filter. But? Help solving this will infinitely be appreciated! Oh, what is a filer in the tank? Fuel line “filter?” TIA

What solved your problem? I have this problem too :( Changed everything twice. Still no fuel pull. Help please, ty!

@John, 2-stroke engines using a gas/oil mix requires pulsed crankcase pressure from the engine to operate the diaphragm type carburetor. A small port between the crankcase and carburetor allows crankcase pressures to operate the carb to pump fuel into the engine. If the engine hasn't been used, stored without performing maintenance prior to storing away for several months, the gas/oil mix can congeal in fuel lines, filter and may clog the pressure port feeding crankcase pressures to the carb.
