How can I remove the ASUS TP500LA's keyboard?

My ASUS Transformer Book Flip TP500LA's keyboard has gotten pretty non-responsive lately. I though it would be a minor problem that could be solved by simply spraying the keyboard with some compressed air. After spraying it, I am still having problems with my 'M' and 'B' keys where they don't show after pressing the key. It eventually works after 5 key presses, but I want to fix the problem for good. Is there a way to access the keyboard and take it apart , so I can clean the keys very thoroughly?

There are websites that sells only the keyboard without the top case. Why is that? Can’t i replace only the keyboard?

Your keys may not be responding due to some dirt or debris that is more serious than a little bit of dust. Compressed air usually works for dust, but something more malicious may be hiding under your keycaps. This could range from small bits of food or dried liquids or dirt. The best way to resolve this problem would be to gently pry off individual keycaps and use a gentle cleaning solution and a cloth to wipe away the grime.

If this doesn't resolve your problem, there may be a problem with the top casing of the laptop as the keys and the top casing are connected. This would require physically disassembling your laptop and doing a more thorough clean or replacing the top casing. You can find new casing on websites that are specifically for laptop replacement parts.

Hello Garrett! This model (Asus TP500LA) has the keyboard built into the top case. If you want to replace the keyboard, you will also have to replace the top case what you will find to be more expensive. You can try taking the keys off one-by-one and cleaning the area underneath.

You can look for a new top case on websites dedicated to laptop parts or on eBay.
