Hey Swindelld,
It looks like there's only one hot plate located below the full pot, so it doesn't look like you can make the single serve side hotter. You can see what customers who have purchased this device have said on Amazon.

There does not seem to be a teardown on this one. The temp is a function of the built in thermostat. If you could open it and show us what it has we might be able to tell you how to adjust it or replace it with a higher temp one or add a rheostat on a higher temperature contact.
