My phone dosn't turn on

My Samsung Core Prime doesn't turn on. Today at school my phone ran out of battery and shutdown, but now that I plugged it in and waited for a while it doesn't turn on. It was at around 40 percent battery so I thought I'd turn it on, but it gets stuck on the Samsung sign, the sign is moving and glowing, but not turning on. The phone is not old, only around a year. Please help.
