Why won't my cube power up

My cube wont power up. I cam home the other night and something had fallen on surge protector switch and cut of the power on that protector. My Cube was also off and would not restart. since then I have removed the memory twice, I have removed the DC card and gone through several procedures trying to get it to start. I bought another power adapter, still it would not power up. Can anybody out there help me!

I found that the plastic housing can cause a cube not to start. If you press the power on button on the top and it does not light up the housing could be the problem. I have a great working cube and last week I got another one due to the seller listing it so cheep. It would not turn on the seller said is the reason he was letting it go so cheep. I tried every thing to get it to start, nothing worked. On a lark I put the main unit in my working cube and guess what it started up just fine. I do not know why and have not found any info on this kind of problem with the housing preventing a cube from starting on the web. You should also know I put my working cube main unit into the bad housing and it would not start. Maybe someone knows why this happens? I hope this info can help.

I think I had this problem back when I was still refurbishing my cube, and I believe the problem was bad ram.

Do you have multiple sticks? If so, try one at a time to isolate a possible bad one.

Here is a link to the service manual for the cube:

It has troubleshooting stuff at the end, and has been the best resource for me when working on my cube.
