Why won't my box turn back on?

Yesterday , it was raining out and suddenly thunder struck and all my lights went off in my house. But ,30 seconds later, everything was back on except my net gear Internet box.I tried to restart it but it still won't come back on.

You said due to thunder all lights went off. I think this fried up the internet box adapter. Check whether your adapter is working.
