Why wont my iPhone connect to itunes

My iPhone is disabled and it says connect to iTunes but when I did that iTunes said that it cant connect to my iphone4s because it has a password on it and I have to put the password on there for it to work but my button on the top of it is broken or jammed it might be broken but anyways when I go to slide the screen over it goes straight to the only emergency calls what do I do plz I really need your help can u help me.

Follow this guide to step 5:

iPhone 4 Battery Replacement

When you get to step 5 it tells you to unplug the battery. Now when you unplug it. Plug it back in. Follow steps in reverse to put phone back together.

Now the next step is important. Get a iPhone 4 charging cable that is plugged into a computer with the computer having itunes opened. Hold the home button before plugging the iPhone 4 charging cable. Keep holding the home button when the iPhone 4 cable is plugged in until you see the iTunes logo pop up indicating that the phone is in recovery mode.

iTunes will notify you that the iPhone 4 is in recovery mode and tell you that you will either need to update or restore the phone. Choose restore and wait for it to download the system software.

Note that the phone has a timer where it will restart itself. You will need to hold the home button quickly or repeat the steps where you need to open up the phone and boot up recovery mode.

The best way to do this if it does this is let the system software download finish first then do the steps to get the phone in recovery mode again.
