My Note 2 won't even power up anymore!

After leaving the phone off the charger, overnight my Note 2 won't power on at all. The notification light/battery light doesn't show it's charging or anything. Work colleague also has a Note 2, so I tried my friend's battery in mine no difference, I tried my battery in his Note 2 it powers up fine, so it's not the battery. Any chance of reviving it? Also is there anyway of retrieving the data from the internal SSD storage ? If I understand correctly NAND Flash can be without power for a long time and still hold the data am I right?
