No info for icloud

My son was given an ipad. We do not have contact with the original owner so we don't have the Icloud password nor will the lost password thing work. Apple says we have to fi d the owner & have them recover the pw - not possible. The pop up of login to icloud comes up every few seconds & we can't restore, update anything. Apple says we are SOL. is there nothing we can do?

@tammynado You should be able to restore the iPad to its factory settings. This does not require a password, just a computer to connect it to.

Here's a link with instructions on how to do this restore:

unfortunately without the password can not do anything. on the net you can find someone who can unlock it paying, provided that the iPod is not in loss mode. some in the internet and you will find the solution for unlock although I think the cost of the release is equal to the value of the device, about 150 €
