iPod won't turn on an won't begin charging when plugged in, wth?

iPod was working fine, put it in back pocket of jeans, took it out later, an nothing. Won't turn on an nothing happens when I plug it in to charge it! Not a Happy Camper!!

here's what you do. if your device stops working like that,hold the home button and the power button at the same time for a few seconds.the apple logo will eventually show up. don't worry your apps will still be there. i did it with my iPod and it worked.
