After water damage repair still dead

Hello, my iPhone 5s has suffered water damage a few days ago. I let it dry on room temperature. On Saturday I opend it to clean the logic board with 97% Isopropanol. I also cleaned all connectors.

After I removed the logic board, I removed the EMI shields with my hot air station on 330°C. On the back side with the large EMI shield, I saw some stain from the water. So I put the board in a Isopropanol bath for 12 hours. After 12 hours i turned the logic board. After further 12 hours, I cleaned the whole board mit a clean toothbrush. After further 6 hours, I let the board dry on room temperature for 24 hours.

After the Isopropanol bath, the logic boards looks like new. So i decided to resolder the EMI shields and build all parts back in the iPhone. I also changed the battery but I got a battery with the wrong APN.

Now I can't start the phone as before. :( Push the power button = nothing, connect the phone with my pc and iTunes = nothing.

I'm not sure what to do now? Is the APN so important that the phone can't start with the wrong APN battery? Do I have to clean the whole board again? Is it recommended to replace the docking connector and display too or is it a waste of money?

For the 5S the APN numbers should be APN 616-0720 616-0721 616-0728 And yes it does make a difference and no it doesn't make a difference. Depends who your talking to there are as many people to say it makes a difference as there are people who say it doesn't . In my experience if your having trouble and you know its wrong try using the right APN and eliminate the obvious . If it turns out it wasn't its at least something you don't have to look at again. Sorry I cant be of more help than an opinion

Food for thought...I realize you have a 5S, but in the past with the 3Gs series iPhone the battery APN was important to match or the phone would not fully boot. This may be where you have people saying the APN must match on the 5s. I have not personally had issues with the 5s series batteries and crossing APN's (that being said, I have had issues with vendors selling crap batteries though).

I will also mention that with the 3Gs series the newer revisions (the higher number on last 4 digits of APN) was always backwards compatible to the older 3Gs logic board. Using an older revision battery on a board built for the newer batteries would usually caused boot issues though. The phone would attempt to boot, but hang on Apple logo and enter an endless reboot cycle.

So if history repeats, I would think if you have the 616-0728 battery it may likely be backwards compatible.

Hope this helps!
