No Chime or video when Powered on

I have a macbook air 11" 2012 model, Its powers on, no chime or video, according to an experienced tech in new york via tube, its likely due to no vcore power to the cpu. The board doesn't looks like it took any liquid damage, Where on the logic board would I have to look to find the fuses/diodes/inductors that control sending vcore to the cpu?

The first thing to check is the Mag-Safe adapter, use a multimeter and test the output, here the pin out on the right: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe

Next step will be to verify the I/O board: MacBook Air 11" Mid 2012 I/O Board Replacement

Logic board repairs are the very last step to look at. Don't be baffled by utube New York bullshit who's only solution is to send it to them for a board level repair. Been there, done that.

I don't know if we're talking about the same person. But he does all the repairs in front of the camera. So I highly doubt he is faking it. It's def not the adapter bc I have 3 of them and I get the same thing. Something def died on the board that send power to the cpu, I can tell bc when I power it on. The die only get a little hot

Also the io board is brand new. I have this problem whether by battery or ac power

Well did the uTube guy tell you how YOU could fix it? If not it's self promotion. Have you changed the battery?

Keep watching those Youtube videos , the "guy" uses boardview , schematics, and soldering reworking equipment , your not going to learn electronics overnight but you can start learning now. Try reseting Pram check your ac adapter and battery first. Having no PPVCORE_S0_CPU_REG with no water does not happen very often if not at all.

The board he was working on had an actual blown part, he replaced it along with the backlight fuse and lvds connector, and it was working good as new. Altho the client he had, heatgunned the cpu and pch, so im sure at some point those parts will die. But the problem was identical to mine. I get that i wont know this stuff overnight, i want to learn how to check resistance of the parts on the board. What setting do i have to use on the multimeter to test components.

You need to be checking voltage first! You don't measure resistance that much ,most of the resistors are going to give off reading because they are still in circuit a regular multimeter does not measure in circuit.

Check my answer , this is the best I can do for you.

How read apple schematic and take measurements
