Hey Daniel,
The volume keys are usually combined with the Fn or Function Keys (F1 and so on). Look at the bottom left hand side of your keyboard, you should see the Fn or FN Key. Try pressing the Fn key + the key with the volume icon on your keyboard and see if that works. If it doesn't, you might need to get the drivers for it to work which can be found at Acer's Support Site.
